Are you able to get a better comb/wattle pic?? My silkie hens have no comb.wattles at all while my boys has nubby bumps around this age and developing wattles
The comb splitting the front poof screams male to me!!Also looks like some wattles but hard to tell with his coloring...No worries either way,My silkie roos are so sweet
I keep their water icy cold(change it two or three times a day) give them lots of shady spots, Put some water in a low dish pan for them to walk through..freeze watermelon chunks(and other treats)
Honestly if hes already been in the same airspace/and freeranging with them today they will have already been exposed to anything he may or may not have..
They are beautiful<3 I would love another mille fleur<3 Is that hutch in an enclosed run?? If not I would go over the wire on it with hardware cloth...If its the hutch Im thinking it is a coon or other animal could easily reach in and hurt your girls : /
My son is the same age(18 months) and our cochin roo wouldnt dream of even crowing wioth him nearby(so far, knock on wood) same for my silkie roos- If they did they would ahev to leave...I can only keep roos who are good around my children...cause my children are Always around
I dont know...I agree #1 is a girl, two is a boy three could be, crest looks very full...How old are they?? Some of my girls have little comb too..4 needs a better face shot
Can anyone possibly post pics of streamers in silkies...I am so clueless. Im thinking I have 2 hens(because there is no comb, but a third has a single comb instead of walnut, and the fourth has a nice walnut comb but this is my first exerience with walnut and IM not sure?? I dont think its awful...
I think above poster meant you need to keep trapping until there ar eno more foxes in your trap/no more chickens being eaten...Ive heard cat food far back in the trap, or chicken innards, warm not cold//and not to touch the trap with your hands, it will leave you scent, wear gloves
