Little update, Crispy is a loon. We had to move him from the incubator, he seriously wanted out. Completely fluffed up and dry he has moved to his next stage housing and has ran round like an idiot. Eating, drinking and pooping, tasting and nibbling everything he can find. He is very messy. With...
As in the Chinese dish crispy duck with pancakes.
Crispy will not be ending up in anyone’s belly.
Once fully grown he and his siblings will be going to live on a city farm where my daughter works...that’s if I can part with them. My garden is not that long recoverd from my years of keeping chicken
Introducing Crispy the duck. He needed a bit more assistance so we opened the shell a bit more and let him do the work. He was well and truly ready.
Thank you to everyone for all the help and advice ❤️

The membranes only took on the pink...

I’ve added...
Still no change for my duckling.
He is making chattering beak movements still and chirping.
Early this morning he was making some very loud squealing noises.
How can I tell if he is distressed or just being mouthy?
Hi and thanks for the advice. Watching and waiting and hopefully I won’t need to use it for the next ones.
Im kicking myself for interfearing now but after seeing the small end of the egg look a bit dark for a couple of days and research telling me it was caused by the chick bashing and...
