    Can I successfully seperate a hen and her chicks?

    I moved the hen and her 7 surviving chicks into the stock tank I use as a brooder. Broomhilda as I have taken to calling her. She has become one vicious hen with her break. Would it be OK to put back with flock and keep her chicks in the house. Never had a hen actually have a successful hatching.
