I just had to share this cute picture of my four getting ready to spend their first night in the coop. This is right before I closed the chicken door. They all wanted to roost there. Once we closed them in there was a little crying before they all settled down for the night.
Just about 6 weeks old now and seeing some red in the comb and tiny red wattles. Very sweet loves to be held and petted. Really hoping for a pullet, is there still hope?
Mine is just about 6 weeks old now. Starting to think cockerel but I am hoping not lol. Very sweet chick that loves to be held and petted. I am seeing red start in the comb and his tiny wattles are coming in red.
Just came to the same conclusions about my chick. Thought he was a cochin, then a buff brahma but then realized the comb wasn't right. Eventually I found the d'uccle mille fleurs. He just started showing some white spots. He is almost 6 weeks old and I keep saying he but I still want it to...
Here is Henrietta or is it Henry? It's just about 6 weeks old now and I was hoping for some opinions, cockerel or pullet. I am really hoping for pullet but I can see the signs...
There is definitely some red coming through now in the comb, but there is still some black on the comb too, near...
I am still holding on to hope for pullets but the comb development in one of the silkies along with the much bigger legs feet and body than the other silkie has me thinking cockerel but only time will tell for sure. It's so hard to wait! lol
