Good Morning All!
I am researching how to raise heritage turkeys. We are getting a trio of bourbon reds tomorrow! I was wondering what everyone feeds their birds once that are mature to maintain the body condition they are at.
Any other tips about heritage turkeys are much appreciated!
I have also read the head thing. However, I have been told that vent sexing is the best way to know. This takes a lot of practice to get right, but your vet should be able to do it if you would like to go that route. Watching videos and reading about vent checking is a good way to start. I...
The brooder is set up the same way that we did for our meat turkeys when we had them and we didn't have a single one die in that stage. The temperature reads to be about 96.
