Hello all, I have a hen with 2 chicks about 7 weeks old, One has all its feathers and can fly to roost with mom wherever she decides, the other has few adult feathers, mostly down like a baby chick, because of this it cannot stick with mom or roost in the trees, any ideas? They both seem healthy...
My girl "Moe" When she was young her head feathers were like a perfect bowl cut with no comb or other coloring and reminded me of Moe of the Three Stooges
So I was able to grab hold of the little one i have named Peanut, still some lumps on the noggin but you can see the chest and neck clearing up well. The little fella has not missed a beat when it comes to food and water
UPDATE...
Sorry I do not have pics yet but the chick is doing well, I gently brushed with iodine two times and skin is noticably clearing up. I do not know if it would have cleared the same without iodine but if I have same issue in the future I will iodine again
