    LED Light Bulbs

    I posted this question in another thread and was advised to put it here instead. Does anyone have experience with using LED light bulbs to increase egg production in the winter months? If so, what bulbs do you suggest? What light frequency is most beneficial to chickens?

    Rooster to hen ratio

    I have 19 young hens, 5 different breeds and 4 leghorn roosters. (by accident, didn't plan on having any roosters) The oldest hens are about 12 weeks (as of June 19, 2019). The roosters are 8 weeks. How many roosters should I keep? (if any) What do I do with the others?

    LED light bulbs, which, if any are best?

    I have a 60w (9W) LED bulb in my 63 sq. ft. coop mostly so I can see to count them when locking them up for the night. It is enough light to "read a newspaper by" as others have suggested. I see two different bulbs available, "soft white" and "daylight". I prefer the "daylight", seems brighter...
