I just noticed 2 of my hens molting this week. Florida hot summer but seems odd. I’ve checked them for mites and they are only 3 years old. I’m looking for answers too.
I’m moving it to my garage. In a year this is the first I’ve had this happen. But yes, I live in FL so humidity is almost always high. Do you recommend any treatment at this point?
I just discovered this today too. A week or so ago I thought the food seemed different but it looked ok. Today I found mold 😭 Chickens Are actI guess normal, eating and drinking normal but I’ve noticed one of my 4 had diarrhea. I haven't caught which one. I’ve added garlic to their water and...
I have 4 backyard hens. All healthy, all laying and all started around December laying eggs.
One on my hens eggs is always rough on the bottoms and kind of odd shaped. They’ve been this way since day 1. Just wondering what could cause it.

We live in Florida, but these are being incubated in my home.
I have brown eggs and a couple Easter eggers.
They are from friends who raise chickens.
11 of 12 I could tell were very much alive. I will check the 12th one again tonight.
Thanks for all your help!
It doesn’t hurt to turn more?
The first few days there was condensation. None after that. It’s a Harris Farms circulating air incubator. I actually just went to take part of the water from the wells and there isn’t but a tiny bit left.
Thank you. Now I’m more nervous.
We are so excited to see so much development and have all of them turn out. I will lower humidity for sure today and look for something to compare the air cells to as far as size. I can almost feel my heart breaking right now.
Hi, we are on day 11 of incubation. I have 12 eggs in the incubator, all have great development. However my humidity levels have been very high. I just read today that it can make hatching very hard to do for the baby chicks. I removed the red plug to lower the humidity but have I already caused...
