    I went to check on her in the morning and she was stiff as a board. I removed her from the coop and let my daughter bury her. I did not check to see where it was broken.

    We do have older chickens and no we have not seen this before. we have 8 chicks, 4 adult hens and a rooster, no others have it.

    HI All, we have a chick about 12 weeks old and appears to have this gunky stuff going on. we are giving her water with a eye dropper. She is active sometimes, but sometimes sits alone. also, her head is not raised up like the others, its like she has no neck.

    Thanks the little guy is not doing well, he is so weak. This morning he was lying on his side with one leg up, when I picked it up, it got alert. My wife thinks we may have to put him/her out of their misery. I cant do that. :(

    Ok, so a friend of mine says to me. "hey I have great big chicken coop you can have it, wanna check it out?" Bam! big coop lots of fencing material, big hinges. Scored! but now I have to take it apart and haul it over here. I still may do part of my idea from before.

    Ok, so the most recent chick is not doing too well. She/he is very weak, the others were picking on she/he. But we have a new kitten and the kitten had a hurt leg, and comforted the little guy, by giving him/her licks. Here's a pic of them cuddling. BFF's

    A friend of ours gave us the coop with 6 hens and a rooster and all the stuff we needed. We lost two since then.
