    i had a pair of cayugas and they were skittish brats. the hen never laid a single egg either. i would change direction and choose calls. they are very friendly, quite common, and lay lots of light blue eggs!

    Keeping a drake in the chicken coop??

    ours started with mating the chickens, then moved to chasing, then throwing, then OFF TO THE SWAP!!! i would not reccomend it, wait and see though, our kaki cambell hen was a VERY noisy duckling, you could have all hens. you can't tell until you see curly drake feathers on the tail. good luck!!

    Raising Ducks with Chickens

    i did it once, the drake terrorized the chickens though , and ruined their waterer. i wouldn't reccomend it though. we sold our ducks because of that.

    the cage just said bantam

    i got this cutie at the feed store full grown, but can't figure out what he is. my first guesses were sebright, serama, rosecomb, and japanese bantam. please help.he's white with flecks of black, but not like a splash. he's the size of a sebright, and loves the hens, even my brahmas!
