    "Humane" way of culling chicken?

Uh guys...the topics here got mixed up. My original question was a way of humane way of culling so we can eat the poultry (I hatch a lot for myself to sell eggs and we eat the roosters). I know there is a way to give something to the birth to breath (goes in the lungs), not inject in the blood...

    "Humane" way of culling chicken?

Uh..I am sure there was a post somewhere in these forums how to cull. I don't want to euthanize as ...well ..we eat. But I remember someone writing that they firstly give the chicken something to breath, the chicken falls asleep and then they cull.

    "Humane" way of culling chicken?

I have read a post somewhere here about human way of culling chicken. Put them to sleep first and then cull ..or something.. I don't want them to suffer, so if anyone could point me to that thread/article/post would be thankful.

I am well, thank you. Suddenly 4 of my hens decided to go broody so I am trying to find good eggs. I ordered White Sussex, unfortunately out of 10 eggs only 2 hatched and they are not Sussex! I contacted the seller and he was like "Oh, yeah, my other breeds jump over the fence every now and...

Growing protein rich food for chicken

I tried cultivating BSF, but I live in a cold area (around 15-18C these days) and I don't think they survive here. Duckweed/Lemna - has around 30% protein they say. I couldn't find any article about fibre in it? My chicken started eating it and they love it, but it grows so slow...uh I read it...

    Peeps in Europe!

I just watched this video and I was surprised to see that they are able to check the fertility of the eggs before placing in the incubator and vaccinate the eggs before hatch. Somebody here told me they did that during the Communism in the large hatcheries but I didn't believe the person as I...

They sell them on Marktplaats 🙂 They are wide spread in Europe. In fact Netherlands has the largest factory for BSF larvae in Europe. In London several small companies are located in urban areas. In France too. In the USA (I read it here on another thread) some chickeners breed/raise ? them at...
