I picked up some chicks from a local school teacher who hatched them out with her class (mystery egg batch). This chick has me puzzled. I can’t figure out what breed it is. I’m guessing a mixed breed. It’s about 7-8 weeks old, has feathered legs and feet, gray skin and is developing what looks...
I learned just yesterday that he may actually have Swedish flower hen blood lines in them. Does that change your opinion at all on whether they are male or female?

We are going to be moving from Colorado to Texas and I'd like to take my flock of 6 chickens with me. What is the best way to transport my girls? The drive is about 13 hours... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hopefully so. She is available for adoption with 13 other hens! Her owners are moving and selling their entire flock. Hoping we can add her - and a few others on Sunday. I’ll give an update soon
May be adding this hen (and a couple others) to my back yard flock. The owners of this hen don't exactly know what breed she is. Any thoughts or ideas on what breed she may be?
Thank you for the welcome! I love our girls and will post photos soon. We've got a large coop and great run/pen for them. However, we really just let them free range in the back yard - the love it. The girls are so friendly and they are great with our kids. Happy to join the community
