I went out to check on the chickens this morning and found this hen with this drainage coming out of her. Was unable to catch her to get a good look at the vent. This is the only hen that is this way and this is the first time I've ever seen this
Hi everyone! I really like this site, I've been on here before to get advice, but just joined.
I have five hens, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Bard Rocks, and 1 Buff Orphington.
I'm going to attempt to place day old chicks (that I'm getting from a friend) under a broody hen. I've got a small kennel set up in the coop for momma and babies. Will momma keep babies warm enough or do I need to do something to help keep them warm? I'm in Missouri. Right now it's in the mid...
