2 hatched- she did take them out when they were dry and fluffy- they are doing well. The other 8 started to hatch but didnt get out of the shell and died. I don't know if assistance is a good thing or bad thing after so many hours.
Hi. I gave hatching eggs to a friend- she wanted chickens. I'm not familiar with hatching and this is her 1st time. 2 made it out of the eggs. The others didn't and died. Is assistance ok after so many hours? Should the hatched chicks be removed from the incubator after hatching? Thank you.
This is what I did. They can get in the pet carrier or ontop of the partitioned Section. I'm gonna sit here for an hour and see how it goes then swap them out the the rooster.
Thank you. My run is 5'x10'. I do not shut them in the coop at night as I don't Have predators other than hawks. I do plan on expanding the coop this fall for winter to accommodate them all.
I let them in the yard for 4 hours each day during the week and all day Saturday and Sunday. He has...
I thought about that yesterday. I did manage to expand the space in the run. The rooster's "favorite" hen could use a break and it would be good for all the hens. Maybe switch him out from time to time.
Thank you.
Oh yikes. I was hoping to combine them later this month- their space is getting tight. They won't lay until September. But, in the best interest of the new ones, I'll have to figure something out.
Thank you for the advice

I built a separator in the run and the new hens have been exposed to the others since about the 2nd week in April.
Yesterday I opened the door to the separator, new hens came out, old hens...
So far he's great! He hasn't been aggressive towards me or the hens. In fact I have one hen who's queen B- he backs down to her. That may change when he gets older. I dont know. He's very protective of them.
Hi!
A few months ago I posted pics of what was supposed to be a pullet however many of you said it's a roo.
Well I just wanted to share with you Adonis Roo! He's become a gorgeous rooster. Can't wait to see him fully grown. Just thought I'd share.
The coop itself is Living House: 25.2" W x 42" L . https://www.wayfair.com/pet/pdp/archie-oscar-auggie-chicken-coop-with-chicken-run-aosc1107.html?&experiencetype=2&selectedvertical=3 I doubled the run area. They are outside all day and in the coop at night.
