    My silkie was also a late bloomer no crest or a peep! I gave 3 silkie roos away and kept him since I thought it was a female well he quickly grow his crest and wattles and started crowing at 8 months ohh and also started chasing the ladies!

    Anybody from Deep South? Im in Mission Tx and have 3 silkie cockerels to rehome along with 3 saphire gem pullets. They are 11 weeks old now. I don’t have social media so its been hard trying to rehome them :( never again will I buy so many chicks from the TS bin !

    We have freezes every other year or so but its for a couple of hrs and hot the next day. Right now looks like a I’ll be losing my tropical fruit trees :( The freezing temps have been for more than 12 hrs now

    I did last year after my dad called me saying that one of my chickens was strolling down the street. He said I knew it had to be yours because she stayed still as I approached her to pick her up. He has chickens too but they are not used to being handled. Idk how she made it that far there...

    Can chickens be feed green papaya? I did read ripe papaya is Ok but what about a green one? I knocked one off my tree and im hesitating giving it to them without making sure its ok.
