    Best Pre-fab coop?

Looks like we're moving soon-ish (end of June?) and will not have time to build a new coop from scratch at our new location - the plan is to move our ladies with us - any recommendations on the best pre-fab coop setup for 5 layers? Thanks!

Where/how do you store your feed?

I use the small metal garbage can too. The handle comes up to secure the lid. It fits 50lb of food perfectly. It lives in an outside storage closet.

How will my chickens do in snow?

This was good info for me since we just got our chickens and live in Nebraska. I will have to devise a cover for part of the run and plan to shovel. I was planning to move the food in and we have a heated water bowl that maybe I will leave out by the ramp.

    Tim O'Hara

Hi, I'm Tim O'Hara - a Nature Educator in Bellevue, NE. We bought a house here that has a beautiful coop in the backyard so my daughters are excited to get chickens. We've never had any before but plan to get at least 4 (city code says we can have up to 7). My girls are also involved in 4H.
