I may look into the large version Over-EZ one. Right now all we know is that we're moving, but we haven't bought a place on the other end yet. Just trying to plan ahead...
Looks like we're moving soon-ish (end of June?) and will not have time to build a new coop from scratch at our new location - the plan is to move our ladies with us - any recommendations on the best pre-fab coop setup for 5 layers? Thanks!
Looks like we're moving to the Washington D.C. area and we want to take our ladies with - anyone know good outlying areas that allow chickens? Woodbridge, Stafford, etc - anyplace commutable in Northern VA or Maryland? Thanks!
He have 6 hens - 3 were laying regularly into the fall (the other 3 were still too young). We were still getting 1-3 eggs/day and figured our other 3 would wait until spring, but our Buff decided she was ready so she started laying a few days ago. We're now getting anywhere from 1 - 4 per day...
This was good info for me since we just got our chickens and live in Nebraska. I will have to devise a cover for part of the run and plan to shovel. I was planning to move the food in and we have a heated water bowl that maybe I will leave out by the ramp.
Hi, I'm Tim O'Hara - a Nature Educator in Bellevue, NE. We bought a house here that has a beautiful coop in the backyard so my daughters are excited to get chickens. We've never had any before but plan to get at least 4 (city code says we can have up to 7). My girls are also involved in 4H.
