i live in North east PA, and so far the table is doing well even with the snow load. The only one who has figured out to use it as a launch pad is one mixed bred chicken, and the turkeys. The others are happy dust bathing underneath. The drainage is great and the rye that was in mix grows slowly...
Love this breed. Quiet most of the time, but will alert you to strangers. Have them in with a mixed flock of birds; turkeys chickens, and ducks. They really watch out for the whole flock. All sleep in the same coop with no issues.

What would you recommend for pest control? I had to use what we had in the store and pretty much that was it.
Yes sometimes but the space above that becomes storage for the baked pine shavings and straw, sometimes they sneak behind their too.
