    No, we don't have a porch light on. I started putting a light in the coop. Hoping the would attract them. Yes, they all like being on the roost, but again with the cold, I was concerned. I heard they a night blind, which is why I started running the light in the coop.

    Part of the coup, goes under the deck, which is not visible from the pictures, there is a least another foot and not easy to see. According everything we have read, it is the right size. we have ventilation in the door and there is also ventilation also on the other side.
