I ended up getting 2 10 week old bantam females. I have them in my brooder that’s in my sunroom so they’re completely separate. I should wait a month before adding them?
I’m getting a female bantam to add to my others, she’s about 10 weeks same as mine. How long do I need to keep her separated/Quarantined? My coop is in my garage, so would putting her in a large dog cage in my garage be ok?
Another question @Cyprus do they get traumatized by being entered into a fair? Jerry’s cool, if entering him will make him angry I don’t want to do it then lol. kinda why I won’t enter any of my laying pullets, don’t want them to stop laying from anxiety.
This is my 6month old cockerel “little jerry” having thoughts on entering him as well. He’s very friendly and loves to pose for the camera. Thoughts on him?
Lol and mind you, it’s a very small fair, only about 50 chickens get entered and actually I think there was only one MFD there this year! Another side note, I won the cutest baby contest 3 years in a row ;) so there's winning in my blood hahaha
I’m very new to chickens. And honestly just doing it for fun (my sons excited that he’ll have one of his chickens at the fair) but yes I would love to hear what ever you have to say. I know nothing about judging. I do have a couple others that id may enter as well, can I post the pics and get...
I have 2 Mille Fleur D’uccle cockerels and have to re-home 1. I would like to show one at a local fair next summer but don’t know what features judges look for. So I could use some help deciding which one to keep. Right now they’re only 10 weeks, don’t plan on re-homing either until they’re a...
@Folly's place I’m not looking to breed my peeps for sale, just wanted some bantams to show at fairs. Tossed the dice and lost. Eventually yes I would like to hatch a few chicks but no time soon. So everyone of these chickens are my babies that I sit with, talk to, hold, hand feed, sing to... I...
