Someone included a link to what they purchased on Amazon on the first page. I can't help from personal experience.
How cute! Mine don't come close to me, they're all rescues, but I would take way more photos of I could! That doesn't stop me from showing what pics I have to everyone I can!
Yours all look so happy!
I went to my local nursery and they have a small coop they rotate chickens in and out. I saw this big girl and was wondering what she was. The employees didn't know. She's easily twice the size of the others. Sorry if the picture is too poor, there wasnt a lot of lighting and I was aiming...
Contact your local property appraiser office. My local office has a guy who specifically deals in agricultural zoning. S/he should also be able to provide you with the requirements for making something agricultural. Every county has a different qualifier, example so many cattle per acre.
The original poster said she wanted chicken for mosquito control. That's why I was suggesting she pulled any evidence that they do assist in mosquito control
You originally mentioned all your neighbors are agricultural. Bring the proof and map it out. Mention there aren't any residential properties within so many miles. Try searching the county property appraiser site for that information.
Provide scientific facts for the mosquito control benefits...
Fatty tumors are not uncommon in dogs. Labradors specifically get them a lot and have the nickname Lumpy Labs. My extended family has a Chihuahua Corgi mix who is about 12 years old. They didn't take her to the vet for her fatty tumor until it got so big it was a hindrance to her mobility. The...
My local downtown is doing a pub crawl and costume contest Saturday. I'm starting to assemble a new costume and repaint an old one. Is anyone else dressing up or doing a fun event? We are doing a clown that sewed some faces to his own and a Star Wars twilek.
I'm so glad you joined! I did the same thing and bought a farm in June with one sassy chicken! I get rescues from my local animal control and have grown my flock to 4! They are an absolute delight and easy to care for. This forum has been a great help and I hope you enjoy it!
We checked the chickens we got in June with the pecked clean backs every week for feather growth. The feathers have started growing in just fine. The aprons came off today.
I am way new to chickens and when we bought this farm, poor Dottie was living in a milk crate with some hay that was an afterthought in a shed. My husband built her a coop all for herself at the time. To get her accustomed to sleeping in the coop we locked her in there for about 4 days. All day...
I picked up 2 adopted girls who were henpecked pretty bad and put the same apron on (I get a lot of laughs for putting the girls in dresses). I put them on at night when everyone was sleepy and they pretty much went right back to sleep. I do have a red light on in the coop 24/7 to dissuade from...
I know right now Verizon is offering $450 for trade ins toward a new phone (899-450=SAVINGS!!) I will probably keep mine because my husband has a habit of breaking phones
If you have Dropbox already, it would be an easy switch from Apple to Android.
By additional storage I am...
