    Weak legged goose

My young cotton patch goose seems to have problems walking on and off. I got her as a 4 week old gosling and she had spraddle leg, so I hobbled her and eventually she seemed fine. Fed her gosling crumble, now pellets. She does spend a lot of time on the pond, should I keep her on dry land to...

I have a pet wood duck, and need some info...

As the mom of a mallard that was found in similar circumstances, it sure sounds like behavior I see from my duck. She doesn’t seem to know she’s a duck. I have tried introducing her to my domestic ducks and she has no interest. People berate me for having a single duck (she actually lives in a...

Love it! I had my ducklings in the house for a month. Then it was out to the yard and garage coop with the moms and dads. I do wish ducks were a little less messy!

@bernie131 Just ducks. I’m not keeping them for eggs, just love ducks. They are tons of fun and have great personalities.

The boys in the back (with the green heads) are welsh harlequins. The whitish one is a female welsh harlequin. Thanks for the kind words! Love welshies. They are great foragers and very mellow.

@bernie131 they are offspring of my welsh harlequin males and my female blue Swedish. There also is what appears to be a full blooded welsh harlequin. I have a welshie female too. They were both tending the nest so there was a mix of both types of eggs.

    Brown 'Swedish'

I am new here, but what made me want to post is that we recently had 6 ducklings, 5 of which are welsh harlequin (male) and blue swedish (female) crosses. One turned out to be what could be called a brown swedish (if there was such a thing). He/she is all brown with a white bib. Another of these...
