My hens make "cute" noises...never heard them make any noises that would upset neighbors. They may yell if they see a predator but i havent had that experience.

Finally got the chicks that are not really chicks out if my basement, we planned on building a coop but we have a 3 stall horse barn w 2 tack rooms so we used a tack room for the chickens, they are SOOOOO happy!!!

Yes I did, they will replace them but I would have had to buy 6 more chicks to go with them or wait until they ship less chicks at a time, but I placed an order for their bantam Feb 18th hatch so im hoping they will ship them then.

I agree, the last time I had chickens I brooded them inside until the Spring, I didn't find the dust unbearable at all, I guess it just depends on what type of bedding you use etc. I have a wood stove, ten dogs and a mainecoon cat and now 21 chicks...I guess I already have to dust quite often...
