I certainly did. They went in Monday afternoon... all is looking good so far. Temp etc seem stable. Although, I did have to lift the lid corner a bit due to high humidity. But since doing that it is perfect.
Thanks for checking in
Hardest part is the little fella just wants to put the eggs in now... he is 3 1/2 and sooo impatient. I am pretty impatient as well I must admit.
I remember doing it at school in Ag, but never had much to do with it as the teachers took control and took over!
I got Bearded silkie eggs. They are very very light shell! A little torch cane with the incubator. So I do have one of those.
At what stage do you candle?
Once again, sorry for the dumb ass questions. Would prefer to sound silly than fry my chicks!
Great. It has an automatic turner. But once a couple of chicks have hatched I am to remove the egg tray which will then stop the auto turning!
Do I then have to hand turn or not touch as they are starting to hatch?
So, I should turn back on now, leave on overnight, add my thermometer and hygrometer tomorrow and see if it is correct, all goes well, add eggs on Wednesday.
Shall it turn it off before adding the eggs on Wednesday or leave it go and add whilst running?
I picked my eggs up this morning, we’re laid on the weekend!
Was told Thursday at the latest to put them in!
Have added some photos of what the manual says.
Good Afternoon All
I have just turned my new Janoel 24 Incubator on to test it out. I have 6 fertile eggs sitting here waiting to go in. The temp is currently at 38 degrees.
The work light keeps flashing. Is this normal?
I have not changed a thing on it, does that mean it is at factory...
