    Stray female ring neck pheasant

I haven't seen her since Wednesday :( I fear something has happened to her. I know she had been traveling the neighbor's yards at night, but was staying in my yard during the day. She hasn't been back to eat since Weds. It's funny how attached one can get ... I miss seeing her.

These are where she has to live The last pic is of the end of the road where she chooses to spend her nights rather than in my yard. She is currently under the rhododendron. She will be fine if she doesn't fall prey to anything. It's fun to have her here and I am enjoying learning! Thank you.

    Stray female ring neck pheasant

I am concerned that she doesn't fly or roost in a tree at night. Do they all sleep in trees as I have read, or do some stay on the ground? She runs like crazy, but no flying. Thank you for your help!

    Stray female ring neck pheasant

Well, she is still here! I check on her daily if I don't see her and she is either somewhere under cover in my yard or now, she likes to sit out at the end of the street under a shrub there or out in the open grass. I live on a short, quiet dead end street at the very end so she is still safe...

    Stray female ring neck pheasant

Thank you, my yard is quite protected, but there may be a cat or a hawk that could be of danger. Altho, I am not sure a cat would tangle with that beak of hers! I know nothing about pheasants, but feel I will be getting a crash course!

Thank you, I will go to our supply store for some feed for her. She has plenty of bushes, shrubs, trees, and a wood pile that she seems to like. Oh my, and then I will have baby pheasants!! I didn't plan on that .. lol.

Thank you, I will go to our Tractor Supply store for some feed. What sort of shelter? She stays by my wood pile and under a weeping tree that I have. I have put hay out for her in those places, but she doesn't seem to like it.

    Stray female ring neck pheasant

Thank you! I have pine trees, so I will gather some pine. I purchased a hay bale and put some hay in a sheltered, covered section of my wood pile, but she doesn't seem to like the hay. She sits out in the snow all nestled down and "puffed up". I can get within four feet of her before she begins...
