    We're midcoast (about 20 minutes inland from Belfast). I, too, don't mind the cold (love it, actually), and hate summer heat. We get blackflies May-June and deerflies June-July. Mosquitoes are bad from June-July. Ticks are bad in May-June, but if you keep grass/paths mowed, you don't get that...
