    I thought about giving it a tiny knife for self defense :D jk, a bit of humour after the stressy situation. Thanks for all the help, the chick is in a separate container with clean paper towels and warm light. I'll keep you posted :)

    Ok great, initially we thought about doing that, but then I read in so many places that you're not supposed to open the bator while the others are still hatching... In the case that it's ok to open for a second and remove the chick, should I place it with a damp towel in the new container or...

    So what do you suggest? It seems that the lamp gives heat in a more spread way, so I figured if the room is warmer, they'll venture from under the heating plate more often...

    Yes, it is working better :) the chicks are calmer and more active. I will try the heat plate with the next batch, but inside another room where is significantly warmer.
