    Thank you soooooooo much! She has been bathed and patted dry and the Vetericyn was applied. First feeding of the cream...she isnt happy with me lol..but hopefully this will start her rehab. Ill bathe her again when I get home from work tomorrow.

    Ok will do. as for her as a layer. I’ve never observed her laying now that I think about it but I’m gone most of the weekdays. I will say during the summer I averaged an egg a chicken a day ( 15 ) so I’ll assume she was laying. the only discharge poop up to this point has been white

    She is 9 months old. By farrrr my sweetest girl. I noticed the last week or do I’d see her use her wing for balance so I was keeping an eye on her. thank you so much for the help. She is inside now she will drink but hasn’t eaten but is alert.

    I found my Speckled Sussex hiding under the door to the coop. She had been attacked by her sisters ( she has always been low girl in the pecking order) I’ve cleaned her wounds and sprayed with Vetericyn. She is getting lots of water with nitri drench and vetrx she is alert and resting...

    My girls, not all but some, make almost a growling noise when I come to the coop. They arent aggressive at all and rush to greet me at the run door but Id love to know what they are trying to say. Any idea.

    I’m going to build a bath area for my girls I’m wondering how high is to high. I was going to use 4x4 to frame it out. Is that to low? also going to use peat sand and diatomaceous dirt in it any suggestions , pointers?

    Hey Mary and thank you The feeder is only in the coop...water is in the run. Yes one of each but can add more if needed. I usually have corn on cob and watermelon in the run for them No injuries....but Ill check for lice mites...( check at night? ) thanks for the help!
