Interfering with Hen hatched baby. Do or Don't?

Now it is Urgent. It seems this baby has not been eating or has gotten injured. I ended up bringing it in and when it takes a drink it acts as if it is ganging. After awhile of small drinks, which it is doing on its own, it seems to have thrown up all the water it drinks. Is this a clogged croup...

Interfering with Hen hatched baby. Do or Don't?

She is a Bantum cross and is being a very good momma. She is protective of them, however she has been a pet for 9 years and does allow me to interact with them without attacking me. Since I just noticed it being off today and yesterday it was fine, would I be safe to wait until tomorrow and...

Interfering with Hen hatched baby. Do or Don't?

I have a hen that hatched out 3 eggs a week ago and today I noticed one of the chicks doesn't seem to be thriving like the other 2. It is half the size and seems to want to stay under mother much more than the other 2. I do see a bump in its croup but it is not near the size as its siblings. My...

Please help! 36 hour chick in distress.

Thank you for your response. I'm not sure if it was an air cell or not, but after doing that for her, her distress calls did stop. I am happy to say she seems to be doing well today. With everyone eating and drinking well now, I have them switched over to their shavings bedding, Midgie is still...

Please help! 36 hour chick in distress.

video is a little long but, since holding her and rubbing her, she sneezed a few times after I set her down and the ticking sound during respiration's seems to have gone away. However, she is still hesitant to lay down to sleep and when she does, jumps back up only moments later. Of course she...

Please help! 36 hour chick in distress.

Chick that hatched out Monday started distress call about an hour ago. I hear ticking when she breathes and when she stands she is standing with head down. When she goes to rest, it is briefly and then she will jump up as if startled. I am afraid she has either swallowed watered or her food...

    Babies early. Worried about humidity.

I would like to thank you for your responses. Unfortunately I'm not sure what happened, but the chick did not make it. When I took him out of the incubator there was no response. I peeled back the membrane a little bit and tapped on his beak and he had no movement. I moistened the membrane with...

    Babies early. Worried about humidity.

NEED ADVICE After partially zipping yesterday, this little guy had his egg busted a little further. He has now been sitting like this for most of the day. Is the white I'm seeing part of the egg under the shell or is it membrane? He is alert and does move his beak when I check on him...

    Babies early. Worried about humidity.

UPDATE: Doing well. 3 hatched, 2 more zipping, 2 more with external pips and 3 left in no rush :D. First 3 had no issues and seem to come very easily once zipped. Still drying but strong and alert.

    Babies early. Worried about humidity.

Thank you. Not sure it is reading right. Just noticed I have a dew dew drops in corners of viewing windows I don't think I had before. Also update on Number 5. The original internal pip peeper. Shined a flashlight on it and got a response. 😁
