This is JJ. I found her tonight knocked off of her perch and laying with her neck in her back. Her butt was a little bit pasty so I cleaned it best I could, acting normal (eating, drinking, peeping) besides being lethargic. I cleaned her butt and put her back in the coop. Shes been acting like...
Theyre supposed to be sexed. She acts skittish around me and her feathers look pretty round, but she’s also pretty big compared to her sisters. Her name is Jean Jacket. Theyre 5 weeks.
Thank you all, yeah I was worried the little white things were worms. She’s stopped gaping and such, and I’ll try to find a photo of her behavior later when I get home. I live in Central Florida, and its been quite cold recently.
Are these worms? My chicken Glados has been showing symptoms of gapeworm (gaping, sneezing. No heavy breaths or anything. Other then that shes perfectly healthy) so we put her on some VetRX. Our other chickens started showing symptoms as well. Are these dead worms being expunged? We swabbed her...
The worst part is I’m really attached to him, but he’s at the age where he would’ve been crowing by now. But he hasn’t. Yesterday he looked like a hen and now he looks like a cockerel? Yesterday his saddlefeathers were rounded
They’re recent, yeah. Im not entirely sure on their age and it is a rough estimate. As the breeder I got them from didn’t tell me their age, and they looked to be around a month or so when I got them.
They started growing combs and wattles so I estimated they were somewhere around 21 weeks or so.
Yeah! I can probably go outside and get another picture of her. They’re 5 months im pretty sure (if my math is correct, they’re 22 weeks).
Here she is.
