Thank you! I've got her inside a coop with fresh, soft hay all around her. I gave her some water in a syringe today, along with (very little) yogurt, vitamins, and a drop or so of vetRx. She wasn't acting like she even cared to swallow those, but I'll see what tomorrow holds!
I appreciate the...
I can go by tomorrow and pick some Tylan up and give it orally tomorrow, if she's still with me. I'm not sure on weight... She's never been too heavy but definitely has thinned out while being sick. I guess the goal is always to get them well enough to try to eat/drink even somewhat on there...
I've been reading a lot of the old threads and such here, but thought I'd post since I'm including photos.
The short of it is that she was somewhat alert a few days ago but was sitting in the hay of the goat house by herself for two days in a row (not on brooding). After I kept see her...
Very nice!
I've been MIA for a while, sorry. :P
Here's some of the Sultans and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes I picked up in the summer:
And a few extras (trying to sell the pretty Easter Eggers to make some room, but they are so cute!):
Hatched 18...need to check the excess eggs and see what my hatch ratio would be.
Day 21 was Sunday, but I had some hatch as late Wednesday! I was surprised...
More pictures to come.
How often do you all tend to wait until you pull the chicks out?
I've got about 6 now, with one more coming out. The first chick didn't get out of the shell until last night.
I know the chicks can make it for 2-3 days in there fine, just wasn't sure from others' experience how long is usually...
They just started popping out last night.
I hope most of the others are just slow, or else my hatch ratio isn't going to be too amazing.
Oh, and they knocked over the thermometer, hygrometer. So...it's assuming from here on out. Haha
Video of them saying hello:
And a recent "egg...
I have a number of very colorful Easter Egger banties. Should be increasing that number with all the eggs I hope to hatch this weekend! Probably have 10 or do EE eggs in the incubator...crossing my fingers that they hatch!
