We have 9 guineas that are 4 months old. They have been raised with our chickens since both were chicks/keets. We have cut an opening about 7 ft high for them to fly out of but apparently this is not working! We have a large open air coop and try not to let our chickens out, hence no ground...
We have a 3-day old Polish chicken that will not eat or drink for the last day and a half. She is blowing bubbles when she is drinking water. We are holding her close to her chest with a towel and offering water and food about every hour. She has been with six other chick since she has been with...
We have 10 guineas @8 weeks old. They have been raised with chicks from the beginning of their lives. I need to know how to set up a guinea roost for when we let them free range. Would an elevated open-faced box work connected to the coop where they have been raised? We have never done this...
I don't have any other ideas for the feed issue than what others have recommended. As for the food/water containers I used the bottom of sour cream, cottage cheese etc... dishes. Maybe about half an inch high. Anything that is shallow with smooth edges will work. Not too deep for chicks...

When should I start my chicks on oyster shell, grit and regular chicken feed? 2wk black jersey giants, 1wk isa browns, light brahmas and golden laced wyandottes. Also, 3wk guineas if anyone has any advice on them! We're new and want to do things right. Thanks for any help!

Yes, that's what we have realized. This will be ok for us because of where we live and our coop/roosting capabilities. If they become too much we have several friends and a family owned petting zoo we can re-home them to. It will be an interesting adventure!
Well here are pics of the guinea olive eggers and the black jersey giants. I've only seen pics but they look just like regular guineas??? The
