    Foot problems

They don't appear raised to me on the top, but I will snap a photo tonight when they come in to get a better look! If it is just feather follicles do you think the foot soak would help calm any irritation from it, or should I just leave him be while they come in?

    Foot problems

One of my roosters seems to have some irritation of the side of one of his feet. I was really worried it was bumble foot, but I got a closer look and now I'm wondering if maybe the feathers that are growing in may be part of the issue. He and one of my other roosters were gotten from the same...

    Hen's toe bending outward?

Yeah I've had her since she was about 3 weeks old. I'll try to add a picture later when I can get back out! She's doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all, more so like she's just taking wider steps to maybe avoid tweaking it again perhaps? So I guess I'll just keep a watch on it/her for now...

    Hen's toe bending outward?

This morning I noticed my hen's (Delphine) toe was bent outward for lack of a better description. It looks normal otherwise, top and bottom, and it doesn't seem to bother her at all when we handle her foot. In the photos she is being held so it's not the best example, but you can still see the...

    Birdzilla?

I have a chicken that looks the same! We were told they were barred plymouth rocks but only the hen is remotely similar looking to one. The botom of my boy's feet are a more pinkish, but I don't really know what that means breed wise.

    Dust baths

Thank you!! So I think I I'll mix up some peat moss and sand since they are pretty quickly attainable. Is there any difference in whether I use play sand or local sand? I was thinking the play sand would be finer but idk if that makes a difference.

    Dust baths

So my chicks are probably about 5-6 weeks now(one is a little younger than the rest). I have been trying to get dust so the can take dust baths but every time I try to pick it up locally its out of stock. I was wondering if it is better to make your own dust mix? Or if any one has any...

    Hello!!

    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am new to chickens! We planned on getting some when we moved into our new home at the end of June, but last week our roommate found a lone chick crying and wandering in the middle of the street and brought him home. SO I got him...
