One of my chickens was attacked by the neighbors dog not half an hour ago. Sadly this is the third attack but I refuse to lose another chicken. She is acting lethargic but still alive and breathing. I don't know how to help her, we are calling our vet but don't know if they will take emergency...
I have three chickens, two are 13 weeks old and we haven't a clue what their breeds are the lighter gray one has started to crow. The other black chicken is 15 weeks a black maran we got from tractor supply pre-sexed but we aren't positive she actually is a girl.
I'm not sure if this is normal for chicks as I couldn't find any information on this. As far as I know at least one of my 5 week old chicks has spit up clear white liquid that's is reminiscent of dog drool. It can from their beak and not her nose so I don't think it is from a respiratory...
We've just started hatching our first chicks, today is the 21 day and only one of the eggs has hatched(the eggs were not from a great place and most weren't fertilized or didn't grow past the first week). The only chick to hatch so far took a little while to come out, somewhere around twelve...
