HELP I have too many drakes

Ok so it looks like you have Rouens and maybe buff ducks, they are still young, can tell cuz the wings aren't fully developed and they still have fuzz, so it will be another month before you can see the curly feather in their butts. It looks like the only tail that looks a little curly is the...

25 weeks today Black Australorps still not laying?

Try putting either a golf ball or a wooden egg in the nesting boxes. It may stir the competition. Check to see if your food is layer food or game hen food. They need lots of calcium to get a nice hard shell. Or you got roosters is my guess?

Selling chicks, best way to run it, and get the word out?

Why don't you start just selling eggs at local farmers market then grow your list of takers and you can talk up the idea of chicks or have a sign on your table for "spring chick order " then breed what they want... Give them a couple choices. Then you are seen and heard and respected.

When the virus hit both my careers out of work my thought was how can I feed the fam now? So I was deciding on chicken breeds when my friend knew someone who was giving away the pen and a flock or 3 chickens and 3 ducks free to a good home. Now my house of 3 teenagers have a duck and a bird...
