Okay great, I have the Mazuri waterfowl maintenance pellets. I just thought you weren't supposed to use them until they were fully feathered adults. But I will start transitioning him onto that. Thank you! -

Wood duck with bumblefoot, now feathers not waterproofing?
Yeah, I am struggling with which to treat first. I want her to swim to help her foot, but I also want to keep her dry to help with waterproofing. Poor girl :( thank you so much for your help! -

Wood duckling won't walk on one leg?
Update: she had a vet appointment today. She had x rays and nothing is broken. Vet believes it is either a birth defect, or an old injury that is healing wrong. Unfortunately he says there isn’t much we can do for it, she will just have to adapt and learn to get around. Thank you for all the help! -

I will try to get a video up tomorrow! The leg is warm, but not any warmer than the other leg. I haven't seen any swelling on the foot/leg. She very rarely puts weight on it.
