Here’s a 17~18 week update (i’ve lost track) but they have turned out to be a gorgeous hen who has (as of a few days ago) begun laying the cutest little green eggs!
Our flock of pullets currently range from 12-15 weeks, now I KNOW it is a horrible idea to switch them over to layer feed, as so much excess calcium can damage internal organs, and the lack of protein can inhibit growth. My parents however, only care about the $3 price drop from grower to layer...
Cuckoo marans have far less white, are darker than barred rocks, have a more muddled pattern, and they have gray legs (opposed to the stark yellow legs of the barred rock).

The hoover variety of cinnamon queen is the offspring of a rhode island red rooster x silver laced wyandotte hen, that could explain the rose combs!
They look really similar! Ours are about 9 weeks old now. One thing I noticed is that one of ours seems to have a normal comb while the other has what I think is a rose comb.
