No new birds to the flock. They are a little flock of 5 that is 9 weeks old. They were moved out to their (newly built) coop three weeks ago. They are in a chicken tractor that is moved each day to a fresh patch of grass and their indoor portion of the coop is quite clean. The neighbors on both...
Yes to ventilation and yes to water and food. Her eye might be a but watery, but its hard to tell as she keeps it closed mostly. She is sneezing quite a bit and wet and rubbing her beak on the ground. Her chirps are a bit raspy
They weren't vaccinated necessarily because they came from a farm store in my area - IFA. Their droppings and appetite are just fine and their feed is medicated with ampropolim (sp?).
I have backyard Easter Egger Chickens that are 9 weeks old. Yesterday, one pullet had an eye closed and was very lethargic. I ended up putting her down because she was a scissorbeak chicken and not doing super well in the first place.
Today - I have a second chicken who is laying down...
It can get down in the low teens. So with just 3-4 chickens I hope they have enough ablity to stay warm together. I did add some more ventilation in the front, however, I put in a hinged plexiglass window at the top of the A frame to allow flexibilty and also to let sun through the window in...
Good morning! A couple of weeks ago, I asked everyone to help identify the sex of my little easter eggers. They are now 7 weeks old, so I'm posting an update. I'm hoping they are all pullets as they were sexed when I purchased them.

CAROLINA: very adventureous with a unique coo-ing type chirps. Friendly. Photos 3 and 4.

Wow, that is an obvious solution. I was wracking my brain and put a second section of the roosting bar in to help with the dead space. Cant believe I overlooked the middle! Is it okay to have a heat lamp above their head during the winter if they are in the middle?
Okay. I can upgrade to hardware cloth as an extra precaution. And i will close the coop door at night.
Thank you for the suggestion regarding a hinged window. We are going to set up a hinged windo that allows us to leave it propped open completely during warm weather and adjust back during...
I am almost completely finished building my A -frame chicken tractor. These are my very first chickens and I am in a residential area. So a build a decent size chicken tractor I can move around my backyard. It has just about everything they need BUT I'm realizing this may not have been the...
Hi all, I purchased chicks from IFA that are supposed to be pullets. How accurate do they usually do?
Just double checking to see if you think they are actually pullets or if any concerning signs. They are now 3 weeks old. Happy to post updates

I'm looking to make a chicken tractor very similar to this; so excited to see how it turned out for you. Thanks for all of the pictures. I did start a post with a question you guys might be familiar with as well - how often do you have to move this thing so they don't kill your yard? I am in...
Hi all! I'm BRAND NEW to raising chickens - in fact they are only 3 weeks old right now. Unfortunately, I also have a somewhat small yard until we move next year (~60 x 35 feet grass area).
So I'd like to set my hens up in a chicken tractor for the time being and move them around the yard. I...
