    Malnourished Turkey

I bought a high protein mix for turkeys. I’m learning with her. I’ve had many chickens, but just starting with turkeys. She was malnourished when I got her and I’m scared of what damage was done before I got her.

    Malnourished Turkey

A friend just brought me a 3 month old turkey who looked to be small and malnourished. She started eating the first day here and then all of a sudden quit. What can I do to get her eating and drinking again? She allows me to pet her and she’s walking around the area I put her in, so no problem...

    Bald head

Lol! Probably, but I don’t want to see that at the moment. If I ever have to dissect one for any reason, I’ll let you know.

    Bald head

It’s actually hard, and more of a creamy color. No weird texture at all. Pretty much like touching a bone of any animal. It’s weird to look at, but the little thing is doing great.

Actually just hard. Not as weird as you would think. I was expecting slimy or mushy. It was just really hard

    Bald head

I separated as soon as I noticed it. The little pip beside of it, just hatched out of its egg!! Brand new! I’m gonna put some ointment on it and hopefully doctor it back to health. It’s very lively and runs all over its little place. Seems very healthy, just bald.

    Eggs are hatching!!

This is my first time incubating eggs. My very first one started hatching this evening!! To say I’m excited is an understatement. This is the first time doing this, so I’m a little nervous about doing everything right to keep them healthy and safe. I’ve done research, but any suggestions...

    Aggressive rooster

I have 12 hens and 1 rooster. The problem I’m having is my rooster is a baney and he beats up my two larger hens and shuns the Cochins. He only hangs around the baney females which are just 4. My big hens have stopped laying which I figure is from him stressing them out. What should I do...
