Living in a third world country has its pros and cons. They only product I can get my hands on is called “Bayopet Bacdip Plus” or “Ecomectin 1% injectable solution”. Does anyone know if I can use either of these products for my situation.
It’s my fault that I didn’t move her from the nesting box to start with!
My nesting boxes are about 50cm off the ground and my hen is not only sitting on eggs anymore as of a few hours ago there’s a (one) little fluffy there too.
1. I’m worried the little one will fall out.
2. Is it to squashed...
I’ve learnt to just leave an egg in each nest so she doesn’t freak out as much then swap it out for the latest egg when she isn’t looking. Would a golf ball work as a fake egg?
My hen isn’t broody but she sure seems to complain when she goes back into the coop to find no eggs there? Is this in my head or just normal chicken behavior?
I understand why my youngest cockerel (Light Sussex) doesn’t crow but he makes a “baby noise” the only way I can explain it is - woopwoopwoop, close to high pitched but almost under his breath (it’s adorable). He’s the only one that makes that sound. Has anyone experienced the same thing?
One of my new hens has Scaly leg mites - found this video on YouTube the other day. This kid has it all figured out. Anyone with the same problem needs to have a look.
Unfortunately not, but I did manage to find Bactefort 50g for poultry. I had to force feed him the diluted mixture and it seems to have worked wonders. Under his eyes are still a little puffy but he’s not gurgling anymore.
