Tiny update! Not sure how this is genetically possible, but Tiny is a drake. His voice is raspy, tail curl coming in, and is wrestling with other drakes.
I’ll have to look into bib genetics too. I suppose that’s why I guess welsh, but now the colors don’t make sense. How did you avatar duck feathering change from young to permanent feathers?
Thank you!
I would love if Tiny is a duck - I’ll cross my fingers and toes! I haven’t heard a single quack…. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and update when we see a curl, hear a voice, or find an egg 😂
Meet Tiny - we are curious who his parents are! We only have a buff drake. Mama could be:
1) Welsh Harlequin
2) Blue Swedish
3) Black Swedish
This is excluding Cayuga and Buff ducks. Based on size I’m guessing it’s #1. But he’s looking very gray. Bill color also is more welsh. I’ve had...
Perfect. So if this is a green egger I must have not received any welsummers.
Glad to hear it's a pullet, she's fairly dominant and none of our other pullets from the same hatch date are anywhere close to as red yet! Thanks all
Who am I?
Was supposed to be a welsummer from Cackle. From previous discussion on here more likely a legbar/welsummer crested cross. I rehomed an obvious roo a month or so ago, please tell me this isn't another.
Either I have another roo, or a very bossy pulley. I'm seeing some tail...
Hmmmm. I think the hatchery dotted the wrong babies.

They have crests in the pictures and are bred with cream legbars. We'll see in a couple months
