    I’ll have to look into bib genetics too. I suppose that’s why I guess welsh, but now the colors don’t make sense. How did you avatar duck feathering change from young to permanent feathers?

    Perfect. So if this is a green egger I must have not received any welsummers. Glad to hear it's a pullet, she's fairly dominant and none of our other pullets from the same hatch date are anywhere close to as red yet! Thanks all

    Hmmmm. I think the hatchery dotted the wrong babies. https://www.cacklehatchery.com/product/olive-egger-chicken/ They have crests in the pictures and are bred with cream legbars. We'll see in a couple months

    Truly the olive egger and welsummer chicks looked so much alike other than the green dot. Here is a group shot.... maybe they dotted the wrong chicks?
