I have a crowing hen too! She stopped laying but hasn’t developed any other rooster traits except the crow. She will still sing the egg song with her sisters. It’s all very confusing. See her in this video

My Blue Australorp, Indie, is a gorgeous girl.

Thank you for the advice. I have separated her from the other hens. I got her started with some electrolytes.

My girl had poop in feathers so I bathed,cleaned her, and trimmed her feathers near her vent and put her back in the coop. Two days later she had blood from her feather like she was pecked. Two days later (today) her butt is bloody and turning blue she lost tons of feathers all in two days...

So we built a huge run for our chickens with plenty of perching opportunities, swings (they could care less about them) on sand.. anyways I made the mistake of letting them out one evening with me in the yard. Once they tasted grass they beg to come out every evening. So I let them for a few...

I have a 17 week old Australorp who laid her first egg 2 days ago. Today she is pacing, going from nest box to nest box, scratching, panting. She’s been doing this for hours. I went in her vent about an inch with my finger and I felt no egg, so I’m thinking not egg bound?? She’s uncomfortable...
