Must have supplies for clean coop

After 1 month using PDZ I won't go back! That combined with poop board has made cleaning much easier. Now I'm contemplating coving the run in sand so I can scoop poop more easily from the ground as well.

I don’t really see any pink waddles on your hens... I’m scared I may have more Roos in that case. Several of them have pink waddles starting.

    BCM cockerels?

Oh yeah I can definitely see the difference here. The hen’s combs are still pretty small even at 6 weeks huh? The middle one has lots of brownish feathers. It’s interesting to see the color variances. I have only 2 that have copperish all over.

Must have supplies for clean coop

I’m very new to chickens but it’s been the hot topic in the group I joined. I have read the caffeine is not good for the chickens and the brand “Grounds” they sell at TSC has no caffeine. But others did say they dried theirs out from Starbucks no problem. So I’d do more research about the...

That would be a life saver. I will be going Back to work soon and less time to maintain everything! The coop we currently have was left over from the previous owners, but really wasn’t the best, so the roost bars are in the run together no real closed coop. We’ll be adding on to the structure...

Must have supplies for clean coop

Ok, that’s a great idea, I do have the space I’m out in the country. So I’ll just have to look around for landscaping companies, I’d happily take the chips! I think that’s be a way easier solution than battling the pine shavings.

Did you have mites? Pretreating for mites doesn't work as it doesn't kill eggs, you need to treat active infestations. Elector PSP supposedly works very well though, if you do have an infestation. Is there anything else you’d recommend to treat the infestation?
