This might help or hinder. Technically if it's not strong enough to get out of the shell it's a weak bird anyway.

If over 24 hrs carefully help it zip the shell. Only split the membrane if there's no vein. Any tiny spot of blood stop and wait.

Probably depends on your brand but my medicated starter has a 5 day withdrawal period for eggs and meat.
