Black feather on my white Campbell
No I didn’t manage to get one i will try later! Can’t see it until I move her wings or she’s flapping them it’s just looks really random and I wasn’t sure if it was normal or not just curious to know😂 -

Hi has anyone ever experienced this before, I started to notice a funny colour mark on my white Campbell’s back. Iv just had a little look and in between her wings on her back she has a bluey/black feather, it’s only become noticeable the past 2 days. Has anyone had this or know why she has it? -

Are my ducklings to young to start spending the day outside?
Yes they will have there own pen outside, the entire thing isn’t covered but I was thinking of putting there sheltered cage inside it for them to go into if they get a bit cold. Yes they would be in before dark only 1 night would be late about 8 buy my partner gets home about 5 so he could let... -

Thanks so much for your help! Makes sense as I think my last living chick isn’t in the right position and might be trying to peck the wrong place as it’s starting to go a bit brown at the bottom iv made a hole at the top to check and it’s upside down but there is still veins by the air cell what... -

Ok I think only 1 out of 4 is alive☹️ I’m so gutted, I don’t suppose you’ll know but because my eggs were shipped iv had them incubating in egg cartons up until lockdown and then I I placed them on there side, as my incubator isn’t very high and didn’t know if they would have room to hatch out... -

Just candled them all in the dark and i think they are all dead apart from 1, I seen movement in that 1. No internal pipping though doesn’t this mean that one of probably going to die as well or it just isn’t ready? Is there anything I can do to save this last one, it I’m worried it stuck or... -

I hope so🤞🏻, yes I originally started by counting from the first day but they didn’t go in till the afternoon, but I since seen on here not to count that day so I just counted back a day -

It’s to light inside so I couldnt really see the rest of the egg to check for movement but it doesn’t look good! Is it normal for the other 2 not to have internally pipped by now? -

Oh no😢, The first 3 are all one egg that was the worst looking one and then the other 2 I didn’t take pictures of the last 2. Any idea what could have gone wrong? -

I’m a little worried now, I feel like they don’t look normal 3 out of the 5 air cells look strange but there want anything inside them, also around the edge of the air cell looked yellow, the egg outside also had a slight hollow tinge to it where as the air cell looked more white! And one also... -

Perfect ok I’ll have a little look, the humidity has been between 65-70 for the past 3 days and the temp on my digital thermometer has been between 37.7 and 38.0 degrees Celsius but my normal thermostat says about 37.0, the incubator is set to about 37.5 so I’m not 100% but I’m guessing it’s... -

Hi, this is my first time hatching duck eggs, or any eggs for that matter! Today is day 28 and I’m starting to get a little nervous as there is no movement or pips or anything g yet in any of my 5 eggs. I have read a lot about ducks being slow so I’m trying to keep calm. I candle all 5 on day 25... -

Not sure if I have a dead ducking??
The other eggs seem to be doing ok, can still see them all moving. Although some of the eggs look more developed than others so you know of this is normal. Also should the egg be completely black by the time they are hatching as one still has quite a bit of a clear gap underneath.- Finlay

Not sure if I have a dead ducking??
The rest of the eggs seem to be doing ok, iv managed to see definite movement in the other 5 eggs but still non in the 6th which is making me think it’s dead, the eggs it a fair bit smaller than all the other and it’s pretty dark so can’t see much in it anymore. Am I best to just remove it now...- Finlay
