    I love my black copper marans hens and egg color! My cream legbars personalities are sweet as well, but the eggs and hens seem small. Maybe that's normal? (The pale pink egg is from my salmon faverolles. She is super chatty all the time.)

    2/1/2026 Jade laid an egg today! She will be 6 years old this April. She is the tough old salmon faverolles matriarch and only one from my original 2020 flock. It's about 20°F today, so I'm really surprised, considering she hasn't laid an egg in about 6 months.

    Here is Ziggy Stardust! I named her when she was itty bitty. Now she is a 9 month old super star, always claims the first treats. Her sister was Joan Jett, but unfortunately she was lost to a snake attack in the summer.
