This little guy is the only one who hatched out of 9 eggs.
(Only 1 other duckling pipped and sadly it died not long after it pipped externally)
Once this little guy made a hole big enough, I can see that his beak is injured. It looked skinned and raw.
After being pipped externally for almost 2...
It was in a bin labeled Assorted Heavies so I have no idea what it could be
I've not seen this coloring or pattern in any of my chicks before
Any guesses on the breed?
Its about 3 weeks old
Ok thank you! I read somewhere that the male Easter egger combs have 3 rows and the females have one. I will update in a few weeks with what the others are. The one in the last photo behaves like a little roo too
I have 6 Easter Egger chicks that are all the same age. Almost 4 weeks old.
One is just not growing. It's about 1/2 the size of the others and only has a tiny bit of feathers on the tip of the wings. And the feathers it does have look weird. Should I be worried about this chick? Is there...
She is a pullet from an Ideal surprise special
She is 3 weeks old and as you can see had a green tint to her legs
Any guess on breed? She had chipmunk markings when I first got her
I ordered 10 surprise pullet and they all arrived dead. But there was 6 different breeds out of the 10 chicks
They replaced my order the next week, 1 was DOA but I got 3 different breeds out of 10 chicks
6 are White leghorns (1 died)
3 are Rhode Island Reds and 1 is a tiny solid black chick...
That would be fine with me, I wouldn't mind more australorps! I already have a BA hen and she is gorgeous.
I'm really hoping for a BO. Her legs are yellow
Last one has yellow feet and dark legs
