Do you think so? I just can’t figure out why her comb is so pale and small to what it used to be. I will try that for sure! There’s a picture of her when she looked more like herself
Just curious if there’s any other better options. I’m happy with wood chips as they’ve been fine so far apart from getting very wet recently as we had non stop rain but I’ve changed them to some fresh ones.
Hey. We are giving her some antibiotics for respiratory issues. She is very lively today and is eating as normal, non stop chatting however her tail is still low and I’m not a 100% sure she’s better yet.
Hey. Does anyone use sand in their run? I currently use hardwood wood chips in the run and use ground sanitising powder as well as rake it about once a week. The run is covered. How easy is it to clean sand?
No she hasn’t laid any eggs yet as she hasn’t come into lay yet. Her poos are normal looking just very very small to her usual. I will check that. What would that suggest?
She has a little bit of wetness around her nose but nothing major. The liquid came out of her mouth as she shook her head. Her crop feels as normal so I’m really not sure
Hello. I really need some help as I have a poorly chicken and can’t figure out what is wrong with her. She is an exchequer leghorn who hasn’t been feeling herself for around 3/4 weeks. First I thought it might be the temperate outside. We are in the UK and the weather has been really up and down...
I saw one of the girls sit on the fake eggs and she sang the egg song as soon as she come off but still no egg so I presume eggs soon? Our rooster is a true gent so that would explain it
Yes I do sometimes. I have never seen residue of egg or anything like that so fingers crossed that isn’t the case. Some of them are POL. Out of the 7 hens we only had two lay last summer due to age. I am however thinking one of them has become very mature looking recently to perhaps she is...
So I keep hearing the egg song from one of our girls, not sure who yet. I’ve heard this a few mornings in a row but no eggs? The one time I opened the nest box and our rooster was in there. What does this mean?
So I’ll be worming my chickens tomorrow. I use flubendazole. I normally use it by mixing the correct dosage with their feed however I was wondering if this is possible by mixing it in their water or will it not work? Thanks!
