    Lavender Silkies

Thank you. I’m following. I need a clear way to figure out how to tell if they’re silver based. Just by looking at my black split it appears to have a silver / gray hint to it. It’s not quite a month old yet?

Thank you! What do you think would happen if my split to paint reproduced with my splashes? I’m all about experimenting with colors and outcomes.

    Lavender Silkies

Hey y’all! I am curious how I may go about creating lavender colored silkies when I don’t actually have any lavenders. I do have some splashes though. I look forward to your responses. Thank you!

Neurological Issue with 8 Day Old Silkie Chick

You are right. I kept researching and watching YouTube videos. I ended up treating her with Vitamin E and Selenium a couple times yesterday and again this morning and afternoon. It’s as if nothing ever happened! Thanks for the reply.

    Wry neck

I've read that it can take a couple weeks to show improvement. When I treated my chick I also added the standard electrolyte, vitamin, mineral mix you can get for chicks at your feed and seed.

    Wry neck

I picked up two chicks two days ago from a woman 1.5 hours away from me. On my way home, I noticed it seemed like one had a tic. I reached out to some other chicken people in my area, as well as, studied online. I ended up leaving work for like 30 minutes and ran home to start my chicks on a...

Rooster has bone sticking out of neck!

I am an RN who is a wanna be Vet Tech. I would agree that it looks as if something is sticking in, as opposed to, sticking out. I do also agree that it looks like a really hard feather as well. Take him to a vet ASAP. If that's not realistic for you... My suggestion is to get some pliers and...

I am not sure. Separate her hair above her beak and look for a comb. (I usually just blow.) If you see a comb at this age chances are you have a cockerel. Does if have round, porcupine looking, feathers sticking out of the back of it's head and down it's neck?

Neurological Issue with 8 Day Old Silkie Chick

Hey y’all, I just picked up two one week old chicks yesterday. As we where driving home I noticed one of them moving it’s head in a seemingly unintentional, repetitive, Parkinson like, tremor. Please advise on what this maybe and how to move forward. I have a video I can email if needed. Thank you
