Yes, I have been doing that. I'm trying to be patient, but I also don't want to lose any due to dehydration. Hard to know how long to hold out.

Advice needed for coccidiosis treatment on 12 wk old pullets!!!

Yes, the Nutrena is chick starter, looks like crushed pellets. The grower is a whole grain type. I got one without corn or soy. Yes, this photo is the "hamburger" looking poop I was referring to. Yes, I have seen some grit, but there has also definitely been blood as well. Thank you!

Advice needed for coccidiosis treatment on 12 wk old pullets!!!

Right now, I'm combining Nutrena chick pellets with New Country Organics Grower feed. They seem to like the Nutrena feed much more than the New Country Organics. They seem to be slow to enjoy eating larger chunk food.. Yes, I'm using Manna Pro Chick Grit. The.grit is purple. I'm almost out of...

Advice needed for coccidiosis treatment on 12 wk old pullets!!!

Yes, maybe I should try this if it continues. I really don't want to incur many, if any vet bills, but with it being such a long stint, maybe I should.

Advice needed for coccidiosis treatment on 12 wk old pullets!!!

So, it's been a long road. I have 20 chicks, and they are 13 weeks old now. I first treated them for coccydiosis 7 weeks ago for 7 days with 1t. Corid In 1/2 gal water. It really helped the 1 one chick within a couple hours who was displaying behavioral signs only. I did not see any irregular...

Advice needed for coccidiosis treatment on 12 wk old pullets!!!

Yes, I did that for 7 days but after that was recommended to decrease the amount to 1/3 t. per 1/2 gallon for 7-14 days. So I did that, and we are where we are now. The Corid removes vitamin B from their systems and an earlier stage of giving them Corid for a week caused one of the chicks to...

Advice needed for coccidiosis treatment on 12 wk old pullets!!!

First, my chicks were given 1 t. of Corid in a 1/2 gal. water for 7 days. There was still blood in their poops and hamburger, diarrhea looking poops. Now, it's been another 14 days of 1/3 t. per 1/2 gallon of water for our now 12 wk old chicks. Unfortunately, I am still seeing a little blood...

Should I continue Corid after 7 days of doing so if 10 wk old chicks still have diarrhea and some bloody poo?

Thank you! So it's been another 14 days of 1/3 t. per 1/2 gallon of water for our now 12 wk old chicks. Unfortunately, I am still seeing a little blood still in some of their poops. Their poops look much healthier, as they are for the most part thicker. I think some birds are still struggling. I...

Should I continue Corid after 7 days of doing so if 10 wk old chicks still have diarrhea and some bloody poo?

Thank you! I have the powder form of Corid and have been putting 1 t. in 1/2 gallon of water per day for 7 days. That just ended last night. So then, last night, I only put 1/3 t. in a 1/2 gallon of water. So if the symptoms of blood and diarrhea go away within 7 extra days, I can stop it at...
