My poor boy has had wry neck for 4 weeks. With daily vitamin E given to him by mouth. He got better for a while and he's a bit better but he's still holding his head crooked, what is the dosage needed for severe wry neck
It was about 8 years ago, he's not with me now but his name was the red rooster (very creative) I don't have a pic of him on my phone but I have one somewhere in my drawer
I don't have any other cage that is big enough floor wise, the only other cages I have are cat carriers and a 2 foot by one foot cage I use to transport chicks
Also I've been bringing him out of his cage every now and then for about 20 minutes so he can stretch and walk around since he is taller than the hospital cage
He's eating and standing good, his head is only crooked a little now, but he has clear nasal drainage. He walks good if he's walking slowly but if he goes too fast he trips
Non at all I just noticed one day he was drifting to sleep while standing up. I wish I knew so I could prevent it. I really hope it's not contagious but I think more than one would have showed symptoms if it was
I decided to give him another day to improve, I gave him a vitamin e pill and today his head isn't upside down, it's still sideways, and he ate actual food for the first time in 3 weeks
I do have another boy but they know their places in the order. Now he can't even walk without flipping over and he can't eat, we might just put him down so he doesn't starve or thirst to death
